Motorists blocking Yerevan roads again to demand Armenian PM's resignation, police detaining protesters

YEREVAN. Nov 20 (Interfax) - Motorists are blocking roads and creating traffic jams in the Yerevan center again on Friday, an Interfax correspondent reported from the ground.

The motorists are protesting against the trilateral statement on Nagorno-Karabakh signed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and are demanding his resignation.

Numerous protesters have been detained as the police are trying to unblock the roads, and clashes are occurring from time to time.

The opposition parties have launched protests in Yerevan to demand Pashinyan's resignation over signing of the November 9 agreement with Russia and Azerbaijan on the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh, the deployment of peacekeepers to the region and the handover of certain Karabakh territories to Azerbaijan.
