MOSCOW. Nov 20 (Interfax) - Providing humanitarian aid to the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh is a priority for Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Now support, aid to the residents of this region, which was severely hit by the hostilities, becomes a priority area," Putin said at a meeting dedicated to the Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh on Friday.
An interagency center for humanitarian response is being formed to address the current problems in the region, Putin said. "I know that specialized subdivisions of the center are now being set up based on the tasks set for the center," he said.
