Armenian side fully committed to statement on ceasefire in Karabakh - Lavrov

YEREVAN. Nov 23 (Interfax) - Armenia is fully committed to the agreements on the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Saturday.

"Every party recognized that this statement has no alternatives in the settlement of the situation, which became quite acute in the past few weeks," Lavrov told journalists in Yerevan.

"It was emphasized unilaterally that the attempts to put this statement into question not only within the country, but also abroad, are unacceptable," Lavrov said.

"And we reiterated our determination to do our utmost to ensure that this statement continues working," he said.

Both the Armenian president and the prime minister emphasized that the statement helped resolving serious issues and saving lives, he said.

"And they are fully committed to the further implementation of the agreements," Lavrov said.
