YEREVAN. Nov 23 (Interfax) - The defense ministers of Armenia and Russia have signed a package of documents governing the presence of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Armenian Defense Ministry press service said on Saturday.
"Armenian Defense Minister Vagarshak Harutyunian and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in a meeting in Yerevan signed a package of documents governing the activities of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in the Karabakh conflict zone," the report said.
According to the report, the meeting participants gave high marks to the role and efforts of Russia in the stabilization of the military-political situation in the region and the effectiveness of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Karabakh.
