YEREVAN. Nov 23 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Defense Minister Vagarshak Harutyunian in Yerevan.
"We covered almost entire territory of Karabakh in these days. A total of 23 posts have been deployed. We're monitoring the road to Stepanakert. Ensuring the return of refugees. Peaceful life has already been established. And our main task is preventing the bloodshed. It is the task our commander-in-chief set before us," Shoigu said at a meeting with Pashinyan.
"We've arrived with specific tasks," Shoigu said.
At the meetings, the Russian defense minister discussed upholding the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh and implementing the provisions of the trilateral statement.
