Five Belarusian ranges will host Zapad 2021 exercise with Russia

MINSK. Nov 24 (Interfax) - The Belarusian-Russian military exercise Zapad (West) 2021 will be conducted on an extensive scale at five training ranges in Belarus, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said.

"It will be a large-scale exercise. I will tell you a secret, it will take place at five of our training ranges," Khrenin told the Belarus 1 television channel on Monday.

Zapad 2021 will be even larger than this year's Slavic Brotherhood exercise, he said.

"It will take place on an even vaster scale," Khrenin said.

The Zapad 2021 exercise will be preceded by "extensive preparations," he said.
