About 5,000 servicemen diagnosed with coronavirus in Russian Armed Forces - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Nov 30 (Interfax) - Around 5,000 people in the Russian Armed Forces have been diagnosed with coronavirus, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a report published on Monday.

As many as 4,136 servicemen, 223 cadets, 25 students of pre-university educational establishments, and 614 civilian personnel of the Armed Forces are sick with Covid-19.

"In all, 119 servicemen in the Russian Armed Forces have recovered following treatment over the past day. The total number of recoveries in the Russian Armed Forces has reached 18,106," the report said.

As many as 80,000 Russian servicemen will be inoculated against coronavirus by the end of the year, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on November 27.
