Russia unlikely to accept Moldovan president-elect's call to pull peacekeepers out of Transdniestria - Lavrov

MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has described Moldovan President-elect Maia Sandu's call for pulling Russian peacekeepers out of Transdniestria as irresponsible.

"It's hard to say what exactly Ms. Sandu meant when she declared a need to pull Russian peacekeepers out, but this is unlikely to help the settlement process, and we can hardly accept this demand, which, I'll be frank, is quite irresponsible," Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow.
