Unrecognized NKR to reorganize its army

YEREVAN. Dec 3 (Interfax) - The unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) is reorganizing its Defense Army following the armed conflict with Azerbaijan, NKR Defense Minister Lieut. Gen. Mikayel Arzumanyan said.

"Work has been done to reorganize the troops and review the military units' duties and structure," Arzumanyan said at a meeting with Armenian Defense Minister Vagarshak Harutyunyan in Stepanakert.

Arzumanyan also informed Harutyunyan of "work being done on the frontline and the establishment of new infrastructure," the Armenian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

"The Armenian defense minister vowed that all necessary measures will be undertaken to change and reinforce Armenia's and Karabakh's security system," it said.
