MOSCOW. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Russia has proposed turning the humanitarian response center in Nagorno-Karabakh into an international entity that will also include Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"We also discussed issues concerning the establishment of the humanitarian response center. It is the initiative of [Russian] President Vladimir Putin. We proposed making this center international, involving Armenia and Azerbaijan in its work. Practical aspects of such an initiative are now being discussed. A large number of Russian ministries and agencies will help put it into practice," Lavrov said at a press conference after talks with his Armenian counterpart Ara Aivazian.
Documents dealing with the center's transformation "are now being discussed by the relevant agencies," he said.
