Demonstrators block traffic in central streets of Yerevan to demand Armenian PM Pashinyan's resignation

YEREVAN. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Armenian opposition activists have started protest demonstrations in Yerevan demanding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's resignation.

Demonstrators have blocked several streets in the center of the city, which has practically paralyzed traffic there, an Interfax correspondent reported on Tuesday.

Police have started detaining protesters in an attempt to reopen streets to traffic.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Armenian opposition announced the start of civil disobedience activities to demand Pashinyan's resignation.
