CIS Council of Heads of State to hold virtual meeting on Dec 18 - Kazakh Foreign Ministry

NUR-SULTAN. Dec 10 (Interfax) - The CIS Council of Heads of State will hold a virtual meeting on December 18, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday following a meeting of the CIS foreign ministers.

"The Council of Heads of State will meet in the online format on December 18. The foreign ministers have focused on further development of cooperation within the CIS framework," the statement said.

The CIS foreign ministers approved drafts of program documents, including the CIS development concept and the related action plan, the concept of CIS military cooperation in the period until 2025, and the program of CIS cooperation in strengthening security on the external border perimeter in 2021-2025.

They also approved a plan of multilevel consultations between the CIS foreign ministries in 2021, drafts of joint statements of the chiefs of state on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the United Nations, and cooperation in the provision of global information security, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.
