MOSCOW. Dec 14 (Interfax) - Almost 5,000 people in the Russian Armed Forces system are infected with coronavirus, according to data published by the Russian Defense Ministry on Monday.
"Over the past 24 hours, 146 servicemen in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have recovered following treatment. Total recoveries in the Armed Forces have thus increased to 20,933," the Defense Ministry said.
Current infections stand at 4,072 among armed service personnel, 200 among cadets and students of higher-education military schools, 19 among pupils of pre-college military schools, and 589 among civilian personnel, the ministry said.
