Pashinyan: The people decide who should be Armenian PM

YEREVAN. Dec 16 (Interfax) - Armenia needs national consensus to hold early parliamentary elections, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.

"The question isn't whether the premier should go or not. The question is who decides in Armenia who should be the premier. The people should make their choice to decide this. Early elections can't be held just based on someone's will or decision, there should be consensus on this," Pashinyan said in an interview with the Armenian service of Radio Liberty.

Pashinyan admitted that he bears ultimate responsibility for the outcome of the Karabakh war and for the domestic political tensions.

"However, I don't think I'm the one who bears the ultimate blame," he said.
