MOSCOW. Dec 17 (Interfax) - Russian law enforcement agencies are not driven by personal motives in prosecuting journalist and advisor to the head of Roscosmos Ivan Safronov, who has been accused of treason, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"No one wants to persecute him. You think he has enemies there in the FSB [Federal Security Service], in the Investigative Committee? He has none, no personal enemies. What has he done? Been at someone's heels, caught someone unawares, made accusations? There has been nothing of the kind," Putin told journalists on Thursday.
