MOSCOW. Dec 18 (Interfax) - Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny has said he was questioned by German prosecutors all day on Thursday at the request of the Russian authorities.
"Was at questioning all day. The German prosecutor's office was questioning me at the request of the Russian authorities," Navalny said on Twitter.
Navalny said later on the Navalny.Live channel on YouTube that his wife Yulia was also questioned.
He said the German prosecutors questioned him at the request of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.
"There was a questionnaire sent from Russia. In fact, it was the Russian prosecution service that asked me standard questions, like what is your name, where do you live, what did you eat in Tomsk, where did you go, who decided when you would travel, do you have diabetes, did you take any medicine during your trip, and so on. The questioning was quite formal, they asked me about ten questions," he said.
