MOSCOW. Dec 21 (Interfax) - Russia has categorically denied any U.S. allegations of its involvement in any hacker attacks, describing those as a continuation of blind Russophobia triggered after any kind of incident, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"Maybe this discussion is growing in the United States because it is exactly the U.S. who fell victim to this hacker attack, and clearly, this discussion has nothing to do with us since Russia is not involved in such attacks, particularly in this one. We state this officially and resolutely," Peskov told reporters on Monday.
That was his comment on the debate about new hacker attacks on the U.S. and accusations articulated by U.S. officials against Russia.
"Any allegations of Russia being involved are absolutely groundless and appear to be the continuation of a kind of blind Russophobia, which they resort to after all sorts of incidents," Peskov said.
When asked whether the Kremlin is expecting any action from the U.S. in response to the incident, Peskov said, "U.S. actions can hardly be predicted recently. So we can't say anything."
