Ukrainian central election commission asks Donetsk, Luhansk regional administrations to assess possibility of holding local elections in March

KYIV. Jan 11 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Central Election Commission (CEC) on Tuesday reached out to the Donetsk and Luhansk regional military-civilian administrations, demanding that they provide no later than 12 p.m. on January 15 reports on the possibility of organizing, preparing and holding local elections in several territorial hromadas across the two Ukrainian regions on March 28, 2021.

According to CEC's PR department, the list of such entities includes ten territorial hromadas in the Bakhmut, Volnovakha, Mariupol and Pokrovske districts of the Donetsk region and eight hromadas in the Severodonetsk and Shchastya districts of the Luhansk region.
