Lukashenko orders tit-for-tat response to Western sanctions against Belarusian enterprises

MINSK. Jan 12 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has described the Western sanctions imposed on Belarusian manufacturing enterprises as predatory and at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Yury Nazarov and Industry Minister Pyotr Parkhomchik ordered that a tit-for-tat response be given.

"There is yet another issue, the Western sanctions imposed on a number of domestic enterprises. Alexander Lukashenko has described these sanctions as predatory and tasked the government with preparing a tit-for-tat response," the Belarusian state-run news agency BelTA said on Tuesday.
