No breakthroughs at meeting of advisors to Normandy Four leaders - Ukrainian FM

KYIV. Jan 14 (Interfax) - No breakthroughs were reached at the meeting of the advisors to the leaders of the Normandy Four countries in Berlin, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.

"There were no breakthroughs, but the atmosphere of the talks was slightly better than at previous meetings," Kuleba said on Twitter on Thursday.

No conclusive solutions were reached at the talks of the Normandy Four political advisors on Tuesday, and there will be a new round of talks in two weeks, deputy chief of the Russian Presidential Executive Office Dmitry Kozak told reporters on Wednesday.

"We failed to find ultimate solutions, but we agreed to prepare new principles and approaches to elaborating a roadmap for the Trilateral Contact Group on a comprehensive settlement of the conflict," Kozak said in response to a question from Interfax. He led the Russian delegation at the talks.

The next meeting will be held in the same format with the participation of political advisors and representatives of the foreign ministries of the Normandy Four countries, most likely, "in a video conference format," Kozak said.

The Normandy Four countries involved in the talks on settling the crisis in Donbas are Germany, Russia, Ukraine, and France.
