MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - Russian peacekeepers have secured the passage of seven convoys of Azerbaijani troops in Nagorno-Karabakh, spokesman for the Russian peacekeeping contingent in the region Dmitry Perepyolkin said.
"Over the past 24 hours, the Russian military police has facilitated the secure passage of seven automobile convoys of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, including three convoys with building materials," Perepyolkin said at a press briefing on Friday.
No ceasefire violations have been recorded, he said.
"The peacekeeping contingent is facilitating the secure return of refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh. As many as 49,461 have returned by now," he said.
Groups formed by the Humanitarian Response Center are interacting with the International Committee of the Red Cross and working with Azerbaijani and Armenian representatives in the course of searching for and transferring the bodies of killed servicemen, he said.
"We've organized the work of an additional group searching for the dead bodies of soldiers near elevation 3358 in the Kalbajar district," Perepyolkin said.
