MOSCOW. Jan 19 (Interfax) - The Admiral Grigorovich frigate and the Vyshny Volochyok small missile ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet have conducted an exercise as part of the combat training plan of the Russian Navy's permanent taskforce in the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea Fleet's headquarters said on Tuesday.
"While taking the test, the sailors carried out different onboard drills to prepare the ship for a battle and a deployment, air defense maneuvers, and damage control drills during the ship's docking at a logistics facility," it said.
The frigate and the small missile ship also practiced anti-sabotage defense during the ship's docking at a port and passed qualification tests, during which they accepted weapons and ammunition on board the ship and carried out maintenance of the ship's weapons and mechanisms.
The Admiral Grigorovich has been on a mission within the Russian Navy's permanent taskforce in the Mediterranean Sea since December 2020, and the Vyshny Volochyok since November of last year.
