MOSCOW. Jan 19 (Interfax) - Units operating S-300V4 air defense missile systems will repel a mock enemy air attack during a training exercise in the Moscow region on January 21, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
"As part of the drills on guarding crucial facilities in the territory of the Moscow region, a training exercise will be conducted with units operating tracked S-300V4 air defense missile systems to repel a mock enemy air raid," the ministry said.
The units will reach their positioning area, will deploy their missile systems at unequipped positions, and will then practice transmitting and receiving alerts indicating an airspace violation by a group of mock enemy aircraft, it said.
