MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax) - Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin has said he does not expect an improvement of Russia-U.S. relations in the sphere of space, as U.S. defense secretary nominee Lloyd Austin has claimed that Russia poses a threat to U.S. national interests in space.
"Judging from these remarks, we shouldn't expect any improvement of relations with the United States in space activity," Rogozin said on Twitter.
Austin said that both Russia and China are a threat to U.S. national interests in space.
Rogozin said earlier that the United States was set to curtail cooperation with Russia in the sphere of space, and the International Space Station remains the only joint project between the two countries.
