MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax) - The shutdown of the SKV-2 air conditioning system on board the International Space Station (ISS) does not endanger the crew, and the system will be up and running again in no time, Roscosmos told Interfax.
"The shutdown of the air conditioning system is characteristic of its work and is envisaged by its operating documentation. It will be started up again soon, with due account of the work done by the crew. There is no threat to either the crew or the station," Roscosmos said.
An unauthorized shutdown of the air conditioning system was earlier reported by cosmonaut Sergei Ryzhikov in a conversation with the Mission Control Center.
