No more federally-wanted terrorists in Chechnya - Kadyrov

MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax) - The members of a terrorist gang led by Aslan Byutukayev, who were killed in Chechnya, were the last militants declared federally wanted and operating in Chechnya, head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said.

"The people identified among those killed on the outskirts of Katar-yurt are terrorists. They were the last ones on the federal wanted list for terrorist activities in the Chechen republic's territory. Now the list of terrorists operating in our region is empty," Kadyrov said on his Telegram channel.

The remaining militants "left the Chechen republic long ago and are far away from it, in the Middle East," he said.
