YEREVAN. Jan 25 (Interfax) - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Col. Gen. Sergei Istrakov has arrived in Yerevan for talks, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry said.
"A delegation led by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Col. Gen. Sergei Istrakov arrived in Armenia on January 25 to take part in staff talks to address all areas of Armenian-Russian military cooperation," it said.
Istrakov met with Armenian Defense Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Chief of the Armenian General Staff Col. Gen. Onik Gasparyan on Monday.
"The participants in the meetings set out volumes and avenues of upcoming work," it said.
