MOSCOW. Jan 27 (Interfax) - The question of Russia's pullout from the Open Skies Treaty has been resolved in principle, and relevant procedures have been set in motion, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.
"The question of our withdrawal from the Open Skies Treaty has been resolved in principle, and relevant internal procedures have been set in motion. Regretfully, and the president has said so on many occasions, the allies of the United States have failed to give us guarantees of not sharing the data received as a result of their flights with Washington," Ryabkov told reporters on Wednesday in response to the question whether Russia might reconsider its decision if the Biden administration decides to reinstate its participation in the treaty.
