MOSCOW. Jan 27 (Interfax) - The extension of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START) is a step in the right direction, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Certainly, this is a step in the right direction, and yet controversies are spiraling, so to speak," Putin said in a message for the participants in the World Economic Forum in Switzerland's Davos via video link on Wednesday.
