Moscow sees G7 statement on Navalny situation as unfriendly step, interference in internal affairs - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Jan 27 (Interfax) - The G7 statement on the situation surrounding Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny is interference in the internal affairs of Russia and an unfriendly step, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"We see the publication of such a statement as rude interference in our internal affairs and an openly unfriendly step. All the same, the document doesn't contain anything really new, the same evaluations as in the earlier published statements by representatives of Western countries," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement released on Wednesday.
