MOSCOW. Jan 27 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has recommended that the State Duma draw up a bill to ban equating the roles of the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany during World War II.
The relevant recommendation is contained in a list that was published on the Kremlin website following a meeting of the Council for Culture and Art held in October 2020.
The State Duma has been told to draft the relevant amendments to the law on perpetuating the Soviet people's victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 together with the Russian organizing committee Victory. The chamber will debate the amendments during its spring session in 2021.
