Russian military begins tracking U.S. destroyer armed with Tomahawk missiles in Black Sea

MOSCOW. Jan 28 (Interfax) - The Russian military has begun tracking a United States destroyer, the USS Porter, which is carrying Tomahawk missiles and entered the Black Sea on Thursday, the Russian National Defense Control Center said.

"The forces of the Black Sea Fleet have begun tracking the actions of the guided-missile destroyer USS Porter of the U.S. Navy that entered the Black Sea at 7:00 p.m. on January 28, 2021," the center said in a statement on Thursday.

Earlier, on January 23, U.S. destroyer USS Donald Cook entered the Black Sea. The Russian National Defense Control Center said at the time that the Black Sea Fleet had started tracking the ship.
