MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - The Kremlin will wait for the results of the discussion of new sanctions against Russia proposed in connection with the situation surrounding Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny in the U.S. Congress before offering any response to this initiative.
"We are bearing witness, so to speak, to the continuous sanctions reflex of U.S. lawmakers. You know that we view this kind of approach as fully unacceptable in bilateral relations through the lens of sanctions pressure. There are still certain debates to be held there," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
"There are still certain debates to be held there, so let us wait and see in what vein these discussions will be held," Peskov said.
