MAKHACHKALA. Feb 8 (Interfax) - The Russian National Guard will do its utmost to conduct an impartial probe into the murder at a police station in Makhachkala, the Russian National Guard's branch in Dagestan said in a statement.

As reported earlier, a 34-year-old local resident was killed in an office of the police station in Makhachkala's Sovetsky District at approximately 8 p.m. on February 6. According to the investigators, two officers of the Russian National Guard fired multiple gunshots "due to the pre-existing animosity and the intent to kill."
The suspects were detained.
A case was opened on counts of murder conspiracy.
The Dagestani Interior Ministry identified the victim as the former head of the Novokuli settlement in the Novolaksky district. A land dispute is the probable cause of his murder.
