MOSCOW. Feb 12 (Interfax-AVN) - The unveiling ceremony of the multinational naval exercise Aman 2021 took place at the Karachi port in Pakistan on Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The Aman 2021 exercise is aimed at strengthening and developing military cooperation between the countries participating in the maneuvers to promote maritime security and stability and exchange experiences in neutralizing maritime piracy threats in intensive navigation areas and conducting search and rescue operations at sea," it said.
"Navy representatives from 45 countries are taking part [in the maneuvers] at Pakistan's invitation," it said.
