MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - A pardon plea submitted by Antonina Zimina, an expert of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund (the Gorchakov Fund) sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment for high treason, has been returned to her as she did not admit her guilt, Zimina's father, Konstantin Zimin, told Interfax.
"It [the pardon plea] has returned already, and it didn't go farther than the Kaliningrad region. Such pleas aren't accepted without the admission of guilt," Zimin said.
Asked whether Zimina might admit her guilt anytime soon, he replied, "There's no guilt on her part."
Zimina submitted her pardon plea at the end of January. Her husband Konstantin Antonets, who has also been convicted in the same case, did not submit such a plea.
