Russian Baltic Fleet ships head to Oman after exercise with Iranian Navy

MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - A group of Russian ships has headed to Oman's port of Salalah after an exercise with the Iranian Navy, the Baltic Fleet said on Wednesday.

"A group of Baltic Fleet ships is now on a long mission and is heading to Oman's port of Salalah," the fleet press service said.

The group comprises the corvette Stoiky and the tanker Kola.

The Russian-Iranian naval exercise was held in the Gulf of Oman and in the northwestern part of the Indian Ocean on February 15-16.
