Putin takes part in FSB board meeting in person, number of participants limited

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - The meeting of the board of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) held on Wednesday, which was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, was not largescale for the first time, as the number of its participants was limited.

The president took part in the board meeting in person, not via videoconference. At the same time, Putin acknowledged that a limited number of people had been invited to the event.

"These are the requirements of the current epidemiological situation, so I want to greet not only you, board members, but also address the heads of regional branches," Putin said, emphasizing that this circumstance does not diminish the importance of the meeting.

The head of state thanked the FSB officers "for their professional and efficient work and their readiness to resolve all tasks in non-standard conditions, without referencing the current circumstances."
