MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin has discussed cooperation in the International Space Station (ISS) project with acting NASA Administrator Steve Jurczyk, the Russian state corporation said.
"The parties also touched upon the arrangement to maintain continuous presence of Russian and American crews at the ISS. Concluding the call, Dmitry Rogozin invited NASA delegation to visit the Baikonur Cosmodrome to see the crewed spacecraft launch in April 2021," the statement said.
"The parties exchanged welcoming addresses, noting mutual content with the level of cooperation between Roscosmos and the US space agency including the International Space Station program and expressed hope to discuss extension of cooperation in various spheres of space exploration, as well as shared the plans for the nearest future," it said.
Rogozin congratulated U.S. colleagues on the successful landing of the Perseverance rover on Mars, and Jurczyk wished success to the Russian-European ExoMars-2022 mission.
In addition, Rogozin invited the U.S. side to cooperate in climate change studies, in particular, by means of the Arktika-M hydrometeorological satellite due to be launched on Sunday.
