MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - Fewer than 400 servicemen are currently being treated for Covid-19 in the Russian Defense Ministry's hospitals, and the number of recovered coronavirus patients has been exceeding the number of new infections for the past four months, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
"Timely measures have allowed us to stabilize the sanitary and epidemiological situation, as well as the general situation in the forces, and to considerably reduce the number of Covid-19 cases. Over the past four months, the number of discharged patients has been much higher than the number of infections, people diagnosed with the novel coronavirus," Shoigu said at a teleconference on Thursday.
He noted that fewer than 400 servicemen were currently receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19.
All medical institutions of the Russian Defense Ministry are working normally, Shoigu said.
