MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - The crews of Sukhoi Su-27 naval fighter aircraft have practiced firing upon aerial targets imitating a simulated enemy's planes, Russia's Baltic Fleet reported on Friday.
"The crews practiced the detection and destruction of aerial targets imitating a simulated enemy's planes, using external weapons, both individually and in pairs. Small-size M6 aircraft targets were used to imitate aerial targets," it said.
Over ten Su-27 fighters were involved in the exercise. Crews of a naval aircraft unit launched guided missiles upon the targets, it said.
"During the firing exercise, the marine range was declared temporarily unsafe for the movement of air and sea transport," it said.
