MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit China and South Korea in late March, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will pay working visits to China and South Korea from March 22 to March 25," she said at a press briefing in Moscow on Thursday.
Talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will be held in the city of Guilin on March 23, the diplomat said.
"The parties will discuss the state and prospects of bilateral relations, including in the context of the 20th anniversary of the signing of the treaty on good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation between Russia and China, which is marked this year," Zakharova said.
Additionally, the parties will exchange views on a broad range of international issues, she added.
Lavrov will take part in the opening ceremony of the Year of Mutual Exchanges in Seoul on March 24, and he will hold talks with his South Korean counterpart Chung Eui-yong the next day, she said.
"It is planned to discuss a number of topics related to the development of bilateral relations, including cooperation in practical fields, the situation on the Korean Peninsula, regional and international problems," the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.
