KYIV. March 19 (Interfax) - The head of the Office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Andriy Yermak, attended a meeting of the political advisers to the Normandy Four leaders, which was held by video link on Thursday and dealt with steps to return to a complete ceasefire in Donbas, the press service of the Office of the Ukrainian President said.
Yermak proposed adopting a joint statement at the Normandy Four level to facilitate a return to full compliance with the ceasefire enacted in Donbas on July 27, 2020.
"Ukraine, like no one else, is interested in a return to the ceasefire because it is Ukrainian servicemen and civilians who keep dying on Ukrainian soil because of its violations," he said.
Yermak also came up with an initiative to urgently convene a meeting of the security subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group for Donbas on March 19 to secure the sides' tangible confirmation of their readiness to honor the ceasefire in Donbas.
