Azerbaijan demonstrates Iskander missile debris found in Karabakh

BAKU. April 2 (Interfax) - The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) demonstrated Iskander missile debris, which, according to an ANAMA representative, was found in Nagorno-Karabakh, in Baku on Friday.

The ANAMA representative told reporters that the debris of two missiles was found in Shusha on March 15, 2021, when the area was being cleared of mines.

The type of missile modification is being clarified, he said.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in late February that not a single Iskander missile system was used in the course of the Karabakh conflict.

"According to the objective and reliable information at our disposal, which, in particular, has been proven by the live monitoring and control system, not a single missile system of the kind was used in the course of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh," the ministry said.

The ministry noted that the entire stock of missiles remained at depots of the Armenian Armed Forces.
