Russian patrol ship returning to Novorossiysk after performing missions in Mediterranean Sea - Black Sea Fleet

MOSCOW. April 5 (Interfax) - The Dmitry Rogachev patrol ship of the Black Sea Fleet is returning from the Mediterranean Sea after performing objectives as part of the Russian Navy's permanent taskforce in the remote maritime zone, the Black Sea Fleet press service said.

"The ship is currently passing the Bosporus Strait," the press service said. The ship is undertaking a scheduled passage from the Mediterranean Sea to the Black Sea, to its permanent deployment site in Novorossiysk, it said.

The ship performer special missions in the remote maritime zone since January 2021, the press service said.

In February, the Dmitry Rogachev was involved in the international exercise Aman 2021 in the Indian Ocean. Pakistan had invited representatives of the navies of 45 countries to take part in the exercise.

The Dmitry Rogachev vessel is a new Project 22160 patrol ship that recently joined the Black Sea Fleet.
