Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh continuing to maintain security of vehicle traffic via Lachin Corridor - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - Personnel of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh are continuing to monitor compliance with the ceasefire and to maintain the security of vehicle traffic and the transportation of food supplies and different commodities via the Lachin Corridor, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The ceasefire is holding along the entire line of contact, the press service said.

"Servicemen manning the observation outposts of the Russian peacekeeping continent conduct routine combat training and exercises that focus on preventing violations and a possible attack on an observation outpost," it said.

All observation outposts of the Russian peacekeeping contingent are equipped with Blokpost fortifications that help protect personnel from small arms and shell fragments and facilitate all-round observation over the adjacent territory, it said.
