SIMFEROPOL. April 9 (Interfax) - The Kiyevsky District Court in Simferopol has ordered the two-month arrest of a Russian citizen suspected by the Russian security services of plotting a terror attack in the Crimean capital.
"To place suspect A. under arrest until June 8, 2021," the court said in a press release published on its website on Friday.
It is possible to challenge the arrest warrant in the Crimean Supreme Court within two days.
The court will consider a restrictive measure on the other suspect later on Friday, a source told Interfax.
The Federal Security Service's public relations center said earlier that security officers had detained two men, born in 1992 and 1999. The FSB said they were followers of the Hayat Tahrir ash-Sham international terrorist organization (banned in Russia), who were plotting an attack on a Simferopol educational establishment by means of improvised explosive devices before leaving for Syria and joining the ranks of the terrorist organization.
