Roscosmos to lose 10-13 bln rubles per year if delivery of RD-180/RD-181 rocket engines to U.S. stops - first deputy general director

MOSCOW. April 12 (Interfax) - The exports of RD-180/RD-181 rocket engines to the United States account for about a third of the entire revenue of NPO Energomash, Roscosmos First Deputy General Director for Economics and Finance Maxim Ovchinnikov said in an interview with Interfax.

"The risks posed by the refusal to buy our products are also obvious. In the case of Energomash, this amounts to 10-13 billion rubles in revenue. This is a substantial sum, which amounts to about a third of the enterprise's revenue," Ovchinnikov said.

"Clearly, this [the end of rocket engine deliveries] will be a tangible economic loss of Energomash, but we are considering options to deliver these products to other buyers and will do our best to rid of direct dependence on one, two or three clients in the market," he said.
