DPR reports Ukrainian attack on Donetsk outskirts, serviceman's death reported by Kyiv

DONETSK. April 12 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army is shelling the outskirts of Donetsk in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Donetsk Mayor Alexei Kulemzin said on Monday.

He said on social media that the attack on the urban-type settlement of Oleksandrivka began at 12:05 p.m., it was ongoing and involved weapons of infantry combat vehicles and a mounted anti-tank grenade launcher.

Kyiv said, for its part, that a Ukrainian serviceman had been killed in an attack in Donbas. The press service of the Sever (North) tactical group said on Facebook that its positions had come under attack.
