Putin suggests increasing fixed salaries for cosmonauts who have worked in orbit by 50%

ENGELS (Saratov region). April 13 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed increasing fixed salaries for cosmonauts who have traveled to Earth's orbit by 50% and for those currently preparing for their first flight by 70%.

"I'm proposing a 50% increase in fixed salary for those who have flown to space, who have already held notable positions on teams of cosmonauts and a 70% increase for those who haven't flown yet, but are preparing to become a cosmonaut in the proper sense of the word," Putin said at a meeting on long-term priorities in the development of outer space activities on Monday.
